Project #1: The Industrial Architect (2012–2017)

Organization: R.J. Price Heavy LLC — Oilfield & Over-the-Road Services

Internal Role: Office Manager | Executive Assistant | HR Specialist

The Context: A Partnership of Trust

In 2011, following the passing of the company’s founder, the new President and Vice President—long-time colleagues and friends—asked me to step in. My mission was clear: help them stabilize, modernize, and build the business for a new era. This wasn't just a job; it was a stewardship of a family legacy during a pivotal transition.

The Challenge: Digitizing the "Backbone"

As I managed the internal complexities of HR and day-to-day operations, the President identified a critical "Voice Gap." The company had no digital footprint. To scale from local oilfield services to national hauling, we needed a presence that projected the same reliability we provided in the field.

The Process: The Hands-On Build

With no prior web experience but a deep understanding of the company’s heart, I took ownership of the entire digital infrastructure:

  • Narrative Heart: I translated the industrial grit and the owners' vision into professional copy, ensuring the site spoke to high-stakes stakeholders with precision.

  • Operational Alignment: Because I was managing the office and HR, I ensured the website evolved alongside our fleet, transitioning the brand from localized services to an over-the-road authority.

  • Visual Fidelity: From photography to layout, I hand-built the storefront of the business, ensuring the "Digital Presence" lived up to the physical legacy of the founder.

The Result: A Foundation That Stands

The systems and site I built supported the company through five years of significant growth. Even today, nearly a decade after the doors closed in 2017, the website remains live—a standing testament to the robust, unbreakable infrastructure I architected during a time of transition.
